Realizing the importance of the job-oriented
courses for women Patna Women's College established the
Department of Communicative English with Media Studies
in 1994. The course was initially funded by UGC under Patna
University.The formal inauguration was done by
his Excellency Mr. A.R. Kidwai, the then Governor of Bihar.
