Department of Political Science at a
Glance
The Department of Political Science came into
existence in Patna Women's College in 1950. The College
was established in 1940 but
then Political Science as a subject was not in the curriculum.
But because of the popularity of the subject, there was
a demand for it and it was introduced in 1950. Sr. Headwy
was the first head of department of Political Science and
our students used to go to Patna College for attending honours
classes. But in 1976 new post was created and Honours teaching
started in Patna women's College.
